That Project Farm video is problematic for two reasons.

He was comparing carbide blades from some brands to HSS blades from others.
The Milwuakee blade tested was an old model that isn't even made anymore.
The blades in this deal are US made and better than average, but I'd rather buy their more expensive carbide blades (and have fewer of them). Carbide blades last a lot longer than the cheaper ones.

fixed that for you.

if you've never worked directly with a manufacturer in China or Taiwan, they'll do anything you want, just need to provide them with heavy guidance and oversight... when they copy your product, you can be assured it's not to the same material or manufacturing standards.

It's not rocket science it's just metal very easy to copy exactly then offer at a much lower cost . As a capitalist and consumer I love buying well made copied products it is the essence of free trade.

imagine not understanding that different metal compositions are different and cheaper, as well as the processes to make those metals stronger... has nothing to do with the relative complexity of the product, it's all about cost.

you clearly don't understand how these factories operate.

who said anything about a secret??? there's always a cheaper way to do things, be it processes or materials... i see it all the time, it's how they do business and how they're successful.

life your life buddy, but it's a sad bubble your in to think factories aren't cutting corners.

Nope. It means that they make the blades here from imported steel.

Good deal, but did I really have to have them now? No.

But had I not grabbed them, in 3 months from now when I need to cut something, I'd run to Ace and buy a single blade for 15-$20.

SlickDeals are slick, but my wife says I spend a lot of money I wouldn't otherwise if I stayed off the site!๐Ÿคจ

I got the $1 blades from Amazon multiple times from multiple companies. The hardwood blade is only good for drywall otherwise the teeth run smooth in like 1 min.

Garbage. Learned that lesson

Doesn't seem like the 8 piece kit comes with a case if that is important to you. The 5 piece and 9 piece kits do come with a case.
Five piece has been delivered from last posting, case is well worth holding out for and blades are great quality. I'm using on a DeWalt tool whose design I like better than my M12 Milwaukee model. My set showed the blades fit most known brands and even had an adapter for Dremel.
