With regular batteries including the HO this is a very weak vacuum. When I used the my Forge 8.0 and 12.0 batteries it is decent. There is a noticeable difference in how well it works between the 12.0 and 8.0 batteries. The packout version is supposed to be better with all batteries.

Ive got this one, had it since first came out.
Works decent with big battery. It will zap that little battery it comes with in a couple minutes run time and power will be down. Dont think for a minute it will replace a traditional shop vac. Good for spot cleaning only. Awkward in use, hose is very short. Tips over easy. Hose will clot easily at the tank connector. Hose has failed twice with occasional use. Milwaukee warrantied both times. Id spend the little extra money and get newer version or one that is corded/cordless from another mfg and buy milwaukee battery adapters if allready invested in that ecosystem.

I use this vacuum with a 5.0. I'm not sure what version but it's great. The bigger the battery the better the performance and the 2.0 would not cross my mind to use other then in drills and lights. I recommend this tool for holding oil in a crank case to cleaning up.

The lowest ah I'd go with this is the 5.0ah. Surprised they packed this with a 2.0ah. You'll probably get less than 15m of run time.

I would recommend a shop vac, I have it and use it with a 5.0 xc battery and its weak at best
