These work decently well. if your outlets are horizontal, these with the square base allow you to unscrew the four screws holding the plug to the light, rotate it 90 degrees, and screw it back in. there is a notch and groove that might make the outer part stick out a smidge when you do this, but I just took a small file to the notch that sticks out and filed it down to remove the bump out.
The units with a round plug base don't allow you to do this, since they only use three screws, so you can't rotate it 90 degrees without doing some extra work.



They look pretty good when you have a few lighting up your kitchen counters (which is where we have them) in the dark.
