Seriously? Who pays a hundred and eleven bucks for a laptop bag???30 bucks for the bag and $81 for the prestige?I don't think I paid half that for my Targus and it's been stuffed in overhead bins and under seats, still looks good.
Look closely, there's a logo that cost $80 more than you whole backbag and it makes your laptop feels warm and cozy.

I have the blue. Love it. I love large backpacks but airlines limit the size I can take. In for 1.

Targus is trash. This is a 40l bag, lookup one bag travel and you will find that they can cost $200+ for this size. As with anything in this world you get what you pay for. Good deal for this size and brand that carries a lifetime warranty.

I have experience with FreshTomato in this, and it carries them just fine.

Jokes aside, this 40L backpack is pretty solid. The shoulder padding is nice and thick and it has plenty of storage for carrying a large 16" laptop, tablet, and other items without a problem. It's pretty lightweight without anything in the backpack either. The only nitpick I have with this bag is that it tends to fall over instead of staying upright when packed. Otherwise it's a decent every day carry bag.

A lifetime warranty that doesn't cover wear and tear or "normal breakdown of materials". Ok.

All of our branded products (except footwear and products from our The North Face Renewed series) are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the practical and reasonably expected lifetime of the product.

If your product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it or replace it without charge, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified items and workmanship are covered. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use. Proof of purchase may be required.

It's a very common misconception that people pay extra for "the brand" or "the prestige" but it's mostly a myth. For the most part, products cost more because they are more expensive to produce.

The profit margin on a Rolex for example is well in line with other watches (20% after overhead) despite the starting price being well over $5K.

Back on topic: this is a good price for this bag. OP shared a good deal.

I highly recommend getting an Osprey Farpoint 40 instead. A bit more expensive, but their lifetime warranty (they call it the All Mighty Guarantee), from what I can tell, covers almost everything, even issues caused by normal usage, as long as you're not being completely negligent.

I love my Farpoint 40, and even bought the daypack that attaches to it, which is also awesome.

Good price. People commenting about a $30 bag, enjoy your cheap targus.
there is nothing cheap about targus, except the price
