This or a similar standard duty husky? Or series 3 US general?

I was about to order but I remembered the wheels issue. I scrolled down to the reviews and a few posts mentioned about the wheels failure.

I was waiting for this to go on sale but ultimately I just wanted to finish up my garage (homeowner/work on my own stuff). I picked up the black one a month ago as my first toolbox ever and it's not bad. I'm limited on space so I wanted this.

Paint scratches super easy and the metal is pretty thin. They had me waiting around the store for 30 minutes and asked me if I wanted it assembled or in the box. I said in the box. Assembly is just putting the 4 wheels on and handle.

I don't know anything about the wheel failure but I just have it in the corner of the garage and I don't move it.

Can the OP change the title to 41" versus 48"?

The drawer slides are soft-close, but are they ball bearing?

Have this exact model, picked it up for ~400 a month or two ago.
For the price it is really well made. Similar to the husky version, nicer than the HF one. The draw layout is perfect for storing my power tools and their associated bits\blades\etc and the built in power strip means i can keep a charger on it always plugged in, and someone won't repurpose my power strip when not in use.
My only little gripes are only 2 of the wheels lock, which is kind of annoying depending where you want to park it sometimes (but easily fixed and may not matter to many), and i don't think the top would really hold if i want to mount a small vice on it and put any kind of load on it, but anything that would do that is going to easily be 2x the price.

I got chance to check it at store & don't like the flimsy black plastic latch under the handle to open it.

The older model, without the tiny vent holes on the side, has thicker gauge metal. The wheels look cool, but are hella noisy & wear quick when rolling across gravel or concrete. Them wheels was the 1st thing I replaced when I bought back in the day.
