also, you need the nintendo online subscripiton for it to work. I think its free for everyone for a while for the switch 2 launch

I also echo the sentiment that this camera is fine for what it's current intended use is unless you're overly picky on specs (in which case why do you have a Switch 2?). You're not filming youtube videos or making movies with it. It's to show you live as basically a small live avatar or to play some gimmicky camera games. It works, and though I haven't personally tried it so do other select USB cameras per Nintendo.

A compressed / picture in picture 1080p image will still look better than a compressed / picture in picture 480p image.
I do generally agree that for this specific use case, the image quality doesn't really matter, and furthermore this feature of the switch 2 is incredibly useless. In fact, this supports the original argument that you shouldn't buy this thing.
