3.9 rating is low even by Amazon standards buyers read the reviews

I have a very similar box from Yitahome on our back deck that we use to hold outdoor cushions, a hammock, balls, etc. and it's been great. Ours is the same capacity and overall design, but the lid has a slight lip and it came with a thin cushion that you can use as additional outdoor seating.

Looking at the reviews I can say that the build and the way it's put together is identical to mine. It doesn't use a lot of hardware, it mostly clicks together. Many of the reviews complain about parts breaking or not lining up and I would bet a fair amount of those are people assembling it incorrectly.

Just my two cents, I paid like $120 for mine (which as I said, includes a "seat" so it's more expensive) a couple years ago and if I needed another I wouldn't hesitate at this price.

to be clear, there are only three reviews ... for the largest size, without cushion.

they are five, three and one-star - the three-star actually had a pretty good experience. one-star is shipping/return experience (not amazon-fulfilled).

You have a winter cover for it that you like? All the options seem to be 52" or 60+" long but this box seems to be 56" long.

We've had ours 2 years and have not put a cover on it for those winters. Still looks/works great but I'm sure it'll reduce the lifespan of the box to some degree. For the price we paid, we figured as long as we get 5-6 years out of it we'd be happy

It seems to still be working. Trying again might work (if you haven't already). Amazon is sometimes weird about applying codes.
