Original is 2000x better and more fun. This one is dark, sad, whiny, and has none of the amazing one-liners. Gameplay was honestly more fun too.

Original is better but this Remake has QOL improvements. 2000X better if you're looking through nostalgic rose-tinted glasses. The one liners don't really matter. Aiming and movement are both better now. As far as the tone it has certainly changed but the original was campy. Both games are classics and can be appreciated.

Controlling Ashley was better in the original. Don't know why they changed that. In the remake, she sucks and always get in the way when fighting enemies. I certainly got used to the aiming and movement in the original. The remake is good, but I would always prefer the classic due to nostalgia and the atmosphere.
