I believe the inverter in this kit is a 240 AC in only, the manual doesn't say anything about 120V AC in.

Problem is pics aren't accurate, need the manual. Problem with that is THIS manual isn't on their site of downloadable manuals. I got the manual form DIYSolarForum, and it shows 240V for AC in and out. I'd upload screenies of the AC wiring instructions if I could upload pics...

Eco-Worthy confirmed on the forum that this is their newer split-phase 240V model, which is exactly what I've been looking for to power my well pump. Now I'm wondering if it can charge from a 120V generator until I get some solar panels.

Is this pretty much plug and play or do you need something else to turn it into a delta pro like device? Where are the input or output plugs and outlets? Is there a 14-50 to hook up to your house transfer switch? How hard is it to add an additional battery?

are we sure its not two units for 240v? I thought all their 5k were 120v and only the 10 and 12k were 240v

here it is:

This inverter is a new model, and it is different from the 5kW all-in-one inverter/charger units we've sold in the past.
It is specifically designed for North American split-phase systems, which means it supports 240V split-phase output.
It also requires a 240V split-phase AC input — 120V single-phase input is not supported.

For safety and optimal performance, please ensure that both the input and output connections follow the required 240V split-phase standard.

Look at picture in attachment of this inverter, it is a 240V split phase. Where AC OUT/IN PUT, meaning L1 (120V) + L2 (120V) = 240V for American house breaker panel. This inverter probably is NEW MODEL, because I never seen Eco-Worthy show this anywhere. OLD Eco-Worthy 5000 Watts model has only L1 (120V).

There is a demand (like a user posted above) for a 5K 240V single unit, because not everyone has room (cabin/RV) for paralleling inverters for 240V.

Within reason if you can turn a screw driver and use a (insulated!) wrench then you can set this up.

You will still need to find a way to wire up outlets to this, but it is very easy and there are a few options.

You could just cut the end off of an extension cord (get one with multiple plugs on the end), wire it up as per the instructions and just use it to plug a few local devices into it.

OR

You can use a length of standard house wire and plug it into a power distrubution box like this- https://www.amazon.com/Distributi...R33BK?th=1 or you can wire up a custom outlet box with a plastic or metal enclosure however you like, this will still require you to bring the devices to the batter system or the batter system to the devices you want to power.

OR

You can wire the unit up to a transfer switch or load panel that will be wired directly into your homes wiring.

It can be as permanent or as mobile as you want

No, it's a hybrid. This is a newer model and could be cause for confusion. It would be good to know what this is rebadged from as the previous one was, IIRC, a SRNE

If by Off grid you mean you had plans to back feed a grid connect, you absolutely shouldn't be doing that as your utility will allow only specific brands to connect to it and eco-worthy definitely won't be on that list because they rebadge, so no, it doesn't have the ability to back feed a grid.

Mike, this doesn't back feed the inputs, it's not a GTI. Most states in the U.S. have made it impractical to back feed. In California, they are making solar customers pay money to connect to the grid.

You would be right - it's split phase in and out - single phase not supported. This does make it a bit more complicated to install but as reports of the phase balance start to come in might be well worth the effort

Doesn't compare to the plug and play of a delta pro - you need to put in the planning, wiring, layout. It's like building your own shed vs. buying a premade one. In return you get a modular system that you can swap in and out or upgrade piecemeal.

For the plug and play, a delta pro is a monolith - something, even a little cable inside it dies and you need to RMA it if in warranty or throw it out if outside.
