If you soak them in water it gets soft and you can cook with it. I like to wash off the salt and seasoning

Yes! I love these. You can even toss them into a blender/vitamix and make some really good umami mushroom powder! Add it to a slow cooker, pressure cooker, or sprinkle the powder on a roast beef or pork. Good stuff!
