lol me too. I love itx form factor but with todays super hot CPU's and GPU's I'm thinking it's a bad idea.

I ordered the b650e I exactly one month ago. I have it unopened. I am tempted to return it for 35$ more to get this. Though the differences aren't many. One fan header extra and two PCI 5 instead of 1.

EDIT: WiFi 7 instead of 6, and Clear CMOS button in the back are the other upgrades too. Yeah I am returning the 650e-i for this one.

What about the ASRock B850I board? It's about $50 cheaper on newegg. I have a ASRock board. It's been working 24*7 for more than 5 years without any issue.

USB ports suck on that one, if it matters to you.

caved in and bought one. now I have 2 of them. I guess I can build in the FormdT thats coming this week. Just need ram and and m2 but definitely dont need it or an extra computer sitting around.

anyone on the fence this is an excellent mobo and this is the cheapest I've seen it. I had a one time coupon that expired today my total came out to 189.28. this was a no brainer to buy.

Breaking news: the same Asscrack board burned up two 9800X3Ds.

Dead brand tbh, stay far, far away.

Thanks! My current MB is actually an intel cpu board. I didn't realize the cpu architecture matters this much.

What's a good chip for this board? Don't need i7/9 equivalent more like a i5k over clockable

This looks like a high end board, you will be able to throw any chips (ryzen 5, 7, 9) depending on your cooling capacity of course. If you only need i5 equivalent, have small PC case with limited airflow, the 9600x or 9700x is solid with only 65W TDP. Gaming, 9800x3D is good while still only requires a modest 120W TDP, still manageable in an itx case.
If you plan productivity work, you will want the i7/i9, 9900x or 9950x, not sure if this itx board is the right choice if productivity is your focus.

As time goes on older motherboards definitely get harder to come by or get more expensive than processors do.
