I've had the 18TB WD Red Pro sitting in my cart for weeks. today o checked on it and it was $50 cheaper. Turns out they're running a buy more save more promo and allowing it to stack on single item discounts.

18TB and 22TB are already discount, so stacking these cuts another $50 off per drive

18TB for $270
22TB for $350 each

Seems to be a one day deal as buy more save more and the individual discounts end tomorrow

Awesome. FYI, add the 22 to cart to see the additional $50 discount.

I love WD, but they NEVER let you stack coupons anymore. No sign up bonus, no student discounts, nada.

$700 isn't bad at all for 2 x 22tb especially with everything that's going on economically, so I will likely pull the trigger as I'm down to my last 8tb!

I'm not a fan of Seagate, but that's a crazy good deal if so. Where are you seeing this? I don't plan on buying but if you mention it, others may want to know where they can scoop that up.

Had nothing but bad experiences with Seagate. Drives that die in 2 years on average.

I was buying 20TB drives for less than $300 3 years ago. I miss the good ole days where in 3 years there were significant capacity moves if you were going to be paying the same $ you did years ago.

Can the 16TB Pro please go on sale? I keep seeing the 18TB. I'm about buy 2 and just waste the 4TB so that I can finally have mirroring on my 32TB NAS.

Yea, I feel like $15/tb has been the norm for a long while, unfortunately. I hope in 10 years we're down to $5!

Western Digital isn't what they used to be. They used to be above seagate but it's much closer now. They've dropped in quality the past 5 years.

I'm still waiting for some deals on the lower capacity drives.. so I can finally finsh upgrading my WD Red 3TB drives that have been spinning non-stop since 2012!! I have 6 of them in a 6-bay Synology DS1621+.. and have upgraded 2 of the 3TB to 6TB a few years ago when they'd go on sale. The remaining 4x 3TB still work fine.. but Im always running out of space because the total volume is only 15TB using SHR.

I guess at some point it just makes sense to forget about upgrading to the 6TB drives at all.. and just grab a pair of the 18TB or 22TB.
