Hmm interested in maybe picking this up. Just to clarify I can buy the Automated Material System in the future and just add it to this printer? Does the AMS add-on itself ever go on sale?

Just a heads up that there are at least 3 different new 4+ color changing systems launching late this year. The snapmaker u1 is on Kickstarter for $680. There is a new bondtech system planned at $250 for the head and $35 per color nozzle. Lastly bambu is planning to launch a 4+ tool changer called Vortek. Lots of cool stuff coming soon.

The $680 pricing was for early bird deal with people who were able to purchase deposit rebate certificate from Snapmaker's website. The normal Kickstarter early bird deal is 750 and there is 50 dollar shipping fee making it out to $800 pricing. I have completely missed the rebate thing and only was able to opt in for one of the early bird deals at 800 total.

Why would it? That's p1s pricing. This is a great price for a X1C without an ams. Would be 1100 with one.
