Steelcase has a 14 day return period, these Steelcase chairs are new chairs that were returned within those 14 day period be it because of small issues with the finish (Grade B chairs) or buyers' remorse (Grade A chairs). The sad reality is, these chairs used to cost what Crandall sells them for now but all chair makers have increased their chair price by nearly double.
In the end, I bought the Leap V2 because it being the most popular chair, businesses like BTOD sell you the rear and bottom cushion in case yours wears down in the future. The chairs have 12 year warranty, so mechanically they will last a long time. But if your cat or your kid messes your fabric up, you can buy the replacement without having to send the chair back.
Another one I was looking at was the Hayworth fern which have been discounted by an even bigger margin than Steelcase (35% instead of 20% before the extra 20% discount) but the Haworth only have 2 year warranty and the most suggested option "digital knit back and NO headrest" isnt currently available. If you end up buying a Fern and want a headrest... buy one without a headrest and buy this custom headrest separately https://atlasheadrest.c

The Leap is a truly excellent chair. Some people really like the Gesture as well, but I think it's hard to go wrong with Leap for most people.
Are these a good deal? Or worth waiting for something better?

EDIT: Also, make sure you are browsing for Steelcase and Haworth Returns (they have a partnership which chair returns get sent to them for sale). They also have a section for refurbished which would give you 10% off only.
My 25 year old dot com Aeron remains the undeafeated champ of chairs in my house--still going strong as the best chair I've ever owned with tight fabric and no squeaks despite zero lubricant.
There's no place to apply the code. It also looks like the price reflects the discount
Yes there is, if you go to your cart and hit checkout... the next page will have the payment info on the left and the discount code box on the right. Once you add the code, it will stay even if you remove that chair from your cart and add another.

Any recommendations from the chair gurus out there?
