The Sofirn SR12 flashlight (normally $45.99) is on sale for $17.91 after a 37% initial discount, plus another 38% off after that using the promo code.

Promo code is: KKGSLIUE which should already be applied at checkout if using the promo link. Otherwise you'll need to punch the code in manually during checkout.

Shipping is free if you have Prime. Otherwise I think Amazon still requires the cart total to be $35+ for free shipping.

Also, if you have the Amazon credit card you'll get another 5% back too.

Looks like the promo started last night and is going on until September 15, 2025

SR12 specs:
-1450 lumens
-1300 feet throw
-18650 battery and charger cord included
-Magnetic base
I like that it comes with a clip too, but you can probably take that off if its too bulky.

Awesome, glad to hear! I have a few of Sofirn's lights and they've all been great.
With hurricane season here, I went ahead and grabbed a couple of these. Sub $20? Done!

Personally I think SR23 is a better fit. If (smaller) size matters, we can go for SC13. This is really in between and at least in my oppinion does not excel in any way. Bigger than the more compact SC13 while not really brighter. SR23, is not that much bigger but beats this with brightness, run time,functions/features, etc.

I actually have the SC13 too. It's going to be interesting to compare this one to it.

They have different use cases. The SR12 has 4X more candela than the SR23 and will throw light twice as far. The SR23 is a close range flood light. You can also add an 18350 tube to the SR12 and have it be about the same size as the SC13 while throwing light significantly further while providing almost the same amount of lumens.

None of these are designed to be a WML. Recoil will kill the driver or detach the leads soldered to the MCPCB over time. Even if they survive, the recoil would likely compress the battery spring enough to break contact and turn the light off after your first shot since they have E-switches.

Thanks for the thorough reply. That def makes sense. What would you go with that's inexpensive then? I'm not worried about a remote switch, just that it'll handle the recoil.
