I was hoping to avoid the difficult to predict and calculate, "demand charge", forgo the 30% fed tax credit, and not even tell SRP about my battery (& possible solar panel) system. (It will not be grid tied).
This purchase/setup would be more of a hedge against rising electricity prices, (rolling) blackouts, brownouts & reliability issues.

Sol-Ark 15k, why split circuits by adding sub panels whan you can run your entire 200 amp panel? Extra points if you can get one installed ASAP with atleast one solar panel to get 30 percent off the inverter, panel, and batteries, including install in the form of a tax credit you can take over 2 years if tax liability is too low.

If you're just pairing the inverter to these batteries for high pull loads then the Schneider XW Pro can't be beat at its current $900 price. No MPPT for solar addition but the thing is built like a tank and honestly will last a lifetime.
