AD5M on aliexpress for $170 is a better deal, enclosure kit is $40 or less and Camera is $40 or less, plus add some lights for about $15 on amazon.

Is that deal still active? best I see on ali is $206. I agree that's still the better deal though- the 5M is a very capable printer and adding the 3 mods you mentioned is very easy. Although the pro enclosure is much nicer, at this price I'd be really tempted to get the early bird deal on the qidi q2 and actually get increased printing capability for the extra money.

I think you're right, but also I'd rather just buy this one if I'm going to do all that upgrading. If you do the enclosure upgrade on the 5M you have to print your own parts for it, so maybe like 10 dollars extra in filament. 170+40+40+15+10 = 275. Then after all the work to print and build it, it's much less polished. If you added the air filtration system that this one comes with, you'd probably break even. But of course, this one is only better if you already planned to do all of those upgrades, the other one gives you the choice
