So if my LCD has lines through it, is my goal to go for an OLED or a mini led model? what's the top dog nowadays?

Depends on your budget IMHO. If that was not a concern, maybe look at LG G5

Hisense and TCL both have multiple 98-100" models for half this price. Samsung needs to come back to reality

You want the QN90 series, not the 80 series if your budget allows. There is a huge step up in quality between the two.
