I was on the same path, but good 4k projectors are quite expensive and have a lot of trade offs compared to even lower end TVs. The only remaining benefit to projectors I've found is sizes over 100 inches. If you need that, they are the only reasonable option.
*edit* or if you want large and don't mind quality much, you can get that for a few hundred dollars, especially if you are ok with 1080p, which honestly for video content, really isn't bad. I ran a w1070 on a 85 inch screen as our primary TV for like 7 years and it was a ton of fun. I also felt like the projected screen was easier on my eyes. so I take it all back chase your bliss everybody ❤️
