you may think they look dorky with the suspender straps, but you're going to be wearing a shirt/top/jersey over the straps, any way, and saddle sores are much more painful and longer lasting.
edit: I promise this is not meant to be a boast, but I guess I should mention that I say this as someone who rides 5,000 road miles a year, and does two 100 mile rides a year. I've gotten thousands of miles from cheapo bibs that cost less than this from Aliexpress (or temu, I imagine.) Rockbros make some good ones.
I use some higher end ones now, but if you want something name brand that won't break the bank, I find the Pearl Izumi Quest bib shorts to be extremely serviceable. I've done a few century rides in those, and they are on sale for under $70 right now.
this is now running longer than I anticipated, but just some more notes I wish I had when I started: I throw mine in the wash, and I air dry mine now, but if you're truly lazy, you will probably still get a ton of life out of your bibs if you dry them on the gentle cycle, but air drying and owning two or three pairs is a really good way to go about it.

That said, Zoic makes decent liner shorts. I think 25% off isn't super slick though.
