Most golf range finders have a setting to toggle these type of settings, not sure on the one listed but most of my Bushnell rangefinders have it.

Also, im sure it works great for just about any range finding application, I'd prefer it MENTIONED a hunting, outdoor sports, or targeting purpose.
Therefore, i went searching and ended up buying this 1000yd model for $35 instead.
It's camo-colored and mentions a "hunting mode". What that is, who knows?
But i prefer the color scheme, so trading 200yds of range finding was worth it.
I had no idea i was gonna be buying a range finder today... You guys cost me SO MUCH MONEY!

Every amateur golfer who plays more than 5x a year should have a rangefinder and/or course GPS watch/phone app in their bag (Garmin and Hole19 are both free). IMO the GPS app is more important - everyone needs to know distances to hazards, and carry/layup distances. GPS apps will also give you distance to the front/center/back of the green - high handicappers should always be aiming for the widest central part of the green, every time. I use my range finder to measure the distance to the group in front of me, help with total distance for doglegs (the distance thru the fairway to the woods), and pin position. Rangefinders have been on good deals lately. There's really only a half dozen (simple) components to these, and no reason for them to cost much more. The only reason to buy a Bushnell over somethign like this, is that you have too much money burning a hole through your pocket, and are worried the other country club members will sneer at you for not sporting the latest Patek.
