At least some of the natural peanut oil is replaced with palm oil in this "classic" peanut butter. It's hard to find real peanut butter (just peanuts and salt).

Unfortunately I think they do that because palm oil has more saturated fat, thus more stable at room temperature and doesn't require mixing which many people prefer. I prefer natural peanut butter, just mix it up well the first time when you open it and then store it in the fridge. To each his own.

I buy natural peanut butter at Trader Joe's. Smuckers still makes natural peanut butter as well.

Just use your home blender to make your own. Get dry roasted peanuts and use a blender and not a mixer for best results. No need to add oil or salt. A little honey helps the flavor.

Unfortunately, there is no Trader Joe's close to me. I buy Smuckers and an organic one from Aldi's. Those are the best choices for me as of now. I wish more people felt that it is worth the extra effort to stir the peanut butter to not be paying for, and eating, inferior oils.

I haven't tried this yet but probably should, especially given the price increases lately of real peanut butter.

While there is one product photo that contradicts, this product is supposed to include only two ingredients, i.e., peanuts and palm oil. Just FYI.

I also had a 25% off coupon bringing my price down to $9.40 with my 15% S&S. That's $1.57 a jar.

Adams (crunchy or smooth), Kirkland (Costco brand, only smooth option), and Trader Joe's (Both smooth and crunchy options) are my go-to choices for peanut butter that contains only peanuts and salt as ingredients. Yes, you have to stir them, but like someone else mentioned, mix well once, then store it in the fridge. Also, I mix with one beater only in the hand mixer and make short work of a new jar in case that helps anyone.
