Origin of the brand name is to infer that buyers would be lucky if it keeps running after six months.

Hahaha! It may be. I don't know a ton about ebikes other than I am looking to get one. I saw some previous threads with this brand where people seemed to be happy, and based on my limited research, price seems good for the specs. The last post I found for this was $130 more. This is probably not the one I will be getting as I want something where I have the ability to carry a second (small) passenger.

I have something similar from a long while ago. Same type of overseas/no brand ebike with integrated battery. Specs just about match these, I bought two at the time. I've just done over 1k miles combined on them with my son onboard a front facing handle bar mounted Thule seat. I got the front wind deflector as well, which helps a lot in cold weather. Should fit just about any bike.

I got one for my son from the previous deal. We've only had it a couple weeks, but the build quality is good. I also don't know much about e-bikes, but this has so far met all expectations.

Number one thing is who do you get service from? These cheap Chinese bikes scream YOU do the servicing!

So you better learn to do that cause local bike shops won't touch them.

Thanks. My kids are a probably bit big for a seat like that (ages 5-14). I'm leaning towards getting something like this AMYET where I think I can fit a passenger behind me (I'm not that big, but could lose a few pounds lol).

Hey guys I just ordered the Luckeep X1 from this seller, shipped relatively quick, came brand new. However it is the slightly older model, so just beware of that if this one has been refreshed lately.

seems like a decent deal. not sure whether to pull trigger or hope they keep falling in price next few months as ebikes have been last few.

I have three generic china e bikes and all have been fine for two years now.

You can also read the reviews of the big name brands with slick marketing and you will find the brands that may cost $2000 to $5000 leave plenty of people really screwed, with problems from day one, and refusals to fix or honor supposed warranties. Those bikes are also made in China as well and have the same origin as this one.

Origin of those kind of brand names is the same origin of Apple, Dewalt, Tesla and Ford parts and components and the solar panels you may have on your roof. The solar fields and wind ocean and land turbines being built all come from the same origin as does near 100% of everything at Costco, Home Depot,Target, Walmart or Amazon. The parts and components in your car, refrigerator, furnace, phone and computer are of the same origin. In fact the last administration was going to have us rely on such components for our critical energy needs. The prescription your doctors prescribes are of the same oringen.

You must have missed much of the last forty years and/or believe some very outdated and completely wrong stereotypes if you think China can't make a ebike. Looks like China is going to beat us to Mars and you think them incapable of making an ebike when the ones I own show that not true and millions are riding such bikes the world over. The problem is that China often makes nicer stuff than we do or can and does it almost unbelievably cheaper.

No wonder China is whipping us so bad when the average american seems not able to reason or think clearly about the reality of the world. If I am going to get jammed with bad China ebike it may be better to risk $400 versus $4000 when the extra $3600 may offer no more assurity at all. AliExpress and Amazon have better return policy than most bike shops do.

So far I have gambled three times and all bets have paid off. Even if my bikes break now I think I have got value out of them already. It is sad to see that people that paid $5000 based on slick marketing may have not had the same experience.

How does this compare to the Walmart hyper e-bike deal?

Great price for a basic ebike. 48V is good. 15ah is ok. 750 watt motor is good. Most bikes in this price range only have a 350 watt motor. Don't buy unless you know how to do basic maintenance on bicycles. I just bought a dual motor, full suspension 60v 32ah 2000w for $1600 to give a comparison.
