yup.. Amazon returns are borderline criminal and sooner or later will be investigated.. they've gone from stupid easy, to purposely holding on to moneys for the minimum 21-30 day.. (not include those accepted at local retailers)..worse yet, some times , you won't get a refund until you contact Amazon - they'll say it was an error, and this after making you wait the full 30 days..I've stopped Amazon for everything except items which are practically not available anywhere else

Amazon returns on expensive items have been taking 45 days for me lately. Best Buy is much better and I like supporting the brick and mortar stores as much as I can.

100%. They marked an item as undeliverable by Amazon logistics and stated I would get refund upon return of item. 3 weeks later I had to call to get a refund that was never in my possession.

How expensive of an item are we talking about? I've never had an issue with getting a refund promptly through Amazon. And I've returned hundreds of items through Amazon and returned shipped via Kohls or UPS.

Maybe it's an area thing but my best buy always has return line. Amazon I click return, chose the UPS store a block away, walk in with the item unboxed/unpacked, hand it to the clerk, scan a QR code, and done. Never any lines. Refund processed usually by the time I get back to my car. And no one annoying me to sign up for a best buy credit card. This method is always free even if there is no issue with the device.

Or I can put it back in the box it came on, slap a line of tape on it, and have it picked up from my house, which is free if there's an issue with it. I avoid BB as much as possible.

Amazon has zero rewards for repeat buyers. BestBuy is easier for many to return to, they give us points on every dollar spent we can use towards future purchases. Also, for most purchases you can go thru other ca$hback sites to add in a small percentage back. Amazon doesn't do any of those things.
