I have it, not a big fan of the curved screen and speaker volume is on the tiny side. Other than that, all good.

This phone can be sold for $140 on sellcell (locked version), so if you just want to experience metro for free (they have free Amazon prime and T-Mobile's Tuesday perk), you can just grab one and sell it. tbh it's not a smooth phone, I've experienced it and sold it. Also metro now has free tablet with added tablet line for $20

If you want it unlocked definitely not worth it, MetroPCS has double the time from Cricket, which is 365 days, Cricket 6 months FYI. And Verizon and tracphones companies 60 days. However in my area lot of people already using MetroPCS and they love it, you can just buy phone and swap the service. Moto Edge is one of the best phone you can get from prepaid carriers at this price. My experience with the edge 2024 was better than Pixel 9. Edge feels faster.

metro doesn't need active service to unlock, cricket needs 6 consecutive months?

they recently fully locked down moto phones, can't even use as WiFi only device w/o active cricket service. moto and their own brand for now, not sure when will roll out to Samsung
