Google is offering very high trade-in values and an additional $200 store credit for many Pixel Phones when ordering the new Pixel 10:

For example, if you trade in a Pixel 9 Pro, you get a $ 550 trade-in and $200 store credit. Considering that this also includes the subscription for Gemini for a year ($239 value), this is almost a zero-dollar deal (well, not quite )

Note: The $449 example considers trading in a Pixel 9 pro for a Pixel 10 pro and does not include the $200 store credit or the value of the Gemini subscription

https://store.google.com/product/...o?hl=en-US

Edit: I changed the title to be specific to the Pixel 10 pro

Yeah, but that $200 credit isn't especially useful unless you want to pay a premium to purchase accessories directly from Google.

$200 is worth half that, at best.

You can also save that credit until next year and use it to pay for your next phone if you upgrade yearly. That's what I do.

So what if you already have a subscription to gemini pro, would getting this deal here, just extend my current subscription by another year?

Dont these credits typically have expirations? I think I looked at one of these in the past and that was the issue. Im not sure how they issue the credit either, but if its in the form of a "coupon" I know they tend to not stack with other deals. Id be curious if there is more fine print for the credit.

1 year I believe. I've never had a problem saving them for the next pre-order.

I mean there was a point where issues were had because the new Pixel drops used to be in October and they switched to late August last year. Kind of the reason I'm not pre ordering right away because I dont want the release date to be like 8-29 next year and my credit expires a few days before.

Just something to think about

I thought they expired after 1 year also so I contacted google and was told and a I quote

(No worries, they are non-expiring credits)

So I'm getting ready to use my $200 from last years Pixel 9XL on the 10XL

Interesting! That could be why its only showing $30 expiring the end of this month when we have $400 in credits from 2 phones we purchased last August.

Good to know!

It looks like google sent some people promo codes for $100-$200 off if they order as well.

Terms explicitly say 365 days for store credit, so I would not rely on what you were told by what was probably an AI bot.

Google Store credit received from promos does expire after 1 year. Credit from a trade-in does not. If the $400 you have is the preorder promo credit from last year, it will expire. Expiration date is based on the ship date of your phone, as that's when they issue you the store credit. Google's official store credit support page states this.

Yeah I'm using it either way for this Pre-Order.
