this or PNY ? I have ASUS TUF gaming motherboard, would it be beneficial if all the same?

It doesn't matter which brand you go with anymore. The only superior brand was EVGA. All of these cards will be the same quality.

most people choose Asus over PNY, but I'm not sure if there is any actual difference.

I wouldn't choose ASUS just based on the ROG Ally fiasco. I've read mostly positive things about PNY CS, so I would/did go with them.

A couple of considerations, the PNY takes up a little more room as it is a wider three slot card while the Asus Prime is 2.5 slot card. The PNY is slightly over clocked, the prime is standard, though I don't really think you would notice any performance difference. If you intend to further overclock, from the PNY specs (wider card) it looks like it might have better cooling.

This. I'm all about buy now, enjoy now. But if you have a card you can limp along with for 3-4 more months, I don't think you'll regret it.I grabbed the PNY 5070Ti tax-free from BB for $750, but I'm coming from a 1070, so huge leap. I do wish I had 24gb of vram (ai work) though, but c'est la vie.
