I have a very similar laptop (Latitude 5330) - purchased at around the same price via Dell Refurb site earlier this year. The screen and brightness are okay - not excellent; on par with most other office laptops. The 2-in-1 feature (as a tablet) is nice but I hardly ever utilize that feature. The touch screen is useful, so I don't always have to use the touchpad. The system is relatively snappy, but even with a debloated Win 11 Pro Linux Mint is 50% faster (I am dual booting the laptop). You can charge it using USB-CThe battery is probably its weakest link… I can't get more than 4 hours run time. Yes I know it's a refurb, but the battery isn't THAT old. I'll probably replace the battery soon to see if that would make a difference.

13inch vs 14 inch. Non replaceable ram on the 13 inch. On paper, 14 inch is better deal, but some people might need 13 inch because of the size, and 16gb ram is enough for them

Has anyone used this for MATLAB or SolidWorks? I'm trying to save money and find a decent laptop for my daughter starting college next month.
