FYI wool dryer balls primarily work in accelerating the drying of your clothes by creating a separation between your clothes while they tumble. The claims that it softens your clothes/fabric is not true. If you are buying these as fabric softeners do not. If you want your clothes to dry faster - then yes this is a good deal.

Thx op, tu, and repped. I haven't tried these, but I recently bought some from Smart Sheep Wool Dryer Balls - 6-Pack - XL, and they don't work as well as they did the first time I ordered them a few years back, so I'll try these. I don't see a size; the other brand said theirs were XL. This way, I will then be able to compare these to the Smart Sheep Wool Dryer Balls - 6-Pack - XL. nod

Rufus- The dryer balls are approximately the size of tennis balls, with a circumference of about 8.6 inches for each ball.

I've used the same balls for 10 years. They're still holding up. Someone suggested using tennis balls before, but they might be too heavy.

I need to start selling my used šŸŽ¾. If there's enough demand, I'll start collecting tennis balls from all the recycling bins by the courts.

I've had these. Eventually they start breaking down and making whatever goes through the laundry super itchy.

On principle these won't work if you have high efficiency washer as shown by this highschooler science poster in 2013 ASA Poster Competition.

I guess? I decided to not use them anymore because I didn't want to deal with having itchy clothes and rewashing again. Maybe my skin is overly sensitive.

I had some from another brand for more than 10 years. Still look like new and never made the clothes itchy. Perhaps don't use that brand anymore

I am going to venture a guess since dryer sheets/fabric softener leave a film on your clothes it may have made them bearable for you? I have used dryer balls for about 3 years now and only had to wash them once and they still look pretty new.
