This Is not a deal. When you mod the curve and adjust pbo so that your cpu does not die you might as well have spent half and gone 7600x3d or 9700x. And quite honestly even at stock pbo this chip is kind of overrated considering there have been deals on 9700x and 7600x3d that put them well under $200

what are you talking about? the 9800x3d is fine even at regular voltage.
Top tier gaming CPU and I bought it at retail when it came out. No regrets from my standpoint, stable and does gaming well. Not as ideal for productivity from what I've read but I do not do any graphic video processing work.

It has dead cpus on pretty much every mobo manufacturer especially asrock. You can try to blame asrock because the reports are higher but I have read it happening on tomahawk boards even.

Works on my machine. ASRock b650e itx and 9800x3d. Delusional if you think this isn't a deal. It's less of one than the 400 9800x3d and the 300 7800x3d a month ago, but it's still a deal
What about it? None of that would apply do the 9800x3d's CCD.
Bunch of clueless people in this thread. The CPUs are fine and have no issues - if a motherboard manufacturer screws things up and over-Volts chips, that's not on AMD. The specs from AMD are fine. The x3d scheduler for vcache is also irrelevant for the single-CCD chips.

Right now. If you don't change your pbo settings it is a ticking time bomb. Pbo settings plus moving to an MSI or Asus board are your best chances of avoiding cpu death. Go on reddit if you don't believe me
