The set release that made me say, yeah f**k magic. The amount of money I spent on preorders, just for things to come damaged, not shipped, no customer service. Tcgs are just an effing plague of addiction. I found that, no, I don't give a shit about being competitive with card games, I just want to hang with some pals. Yeah, just play a board game then or dominion. Eff magic. Eff tcgs.

That is possible. I don't think there is as powerful a connection to the avatar characters as there is final fantasy, so that would be a tall order.

It's like with Fallout, I've played every one since fallout 3 and I barely recognized any of the characters.

My buddies and I draft a "paper costed" 100k vintage deck on the regular. Cost me 150 bucks

I've played off and on since '99 myself. Things have changed so much. A lot has been for the better, but more has been for the worse.

I gave in. mostly due to my love for final fantasy and 3d printer addiction. time to make deck boxes and counters. more print time than I will spend playing.

Good, they jacked the prices up originally and even worse are all the scalpers who are trying to offload these at $100+ per deck

I feel this comment. several of my coworkers spent thousands on these FF cards. I love the detail and mechanics they gave to so many beloved characters. I abstained because I'm cheap.
as for the second part of your comment: while watching them play at the office, I kept looking at all the tokens and counters and boxes they use and find myself wanting to print some even though I don't play.

ordered on the 16th, promised on 18th. then the 20th. now the 23rd... anyone having that issue? I got a specific message about supply chain issues and to confirm I still wanted it. I've never seen that from amzn before.
