I like the deal but hate 78x195w panels! You better have a huge 1-story home to have a big enough roof for all those panels. You're much better off with half as many 400w panels, even if the cost is quite a bit higher.

There's only so much power you can extract out of any given square meter of sunlight, so an equivalent array of higher wattage panels probably won't make much of a difference since they're all going to have to be larger anyways. You'll need less mounting hardware and wiring sure but they'll be much heavier and every failure will account for more lost output.

Less about extracting light per sqm (though 400 watts will almost certainly win there too), and more that for each panel you have a lot static costs like rapid shutdown (or optimizer/microinverter for code). Also it's just a pain attaching 78 panels instead of 35

Not when a 400W panel is more than 2x the size of a 195W panel.

This setup would be $50k in Texas to get it done turnkey (installer buys everything and does it all). Incredible pricing, really wish it was this straightforward to buy and install solar stuff. Getting this installed for just $10k more would be incredible if possible.

Yes, because the installer is on the hook for any damages. Of course you can DIY, but then you assume all liabilities, and if your house burns down you'll have a nasty fight on your hands with your insurance company since you likely aren't a certified, bonded installer, nor is a lot the stuff you can buy so cheaply up to code, installed to code, certified by UL, etc. Most of their cost is in labor and the assumption of liability.
