You should be hand torquing anyway. These are great for running the lugs up snug
Yes, as long as you final torque with a torque wrench. You also may find yourself shearing adaptors occasionally, and you may have trouble removing stubborn Lug nuts.
I did use one of these for several years without much issue on passenger vehicle lugs. I have since bought actual impact guns with 3/8" and 1/2" anvils.
