Has anyone owned this fridge for at least a few months? Any comments? Problems?
STAY AWAY! I have a version of this fridge and it failed at just over 1 year after the factory warranty expired. The only option to fix it through Frigidaire was a flat rate service call of $335 before they even diagnosed anything. I managed to get it working myself by replacing the defrost timer for ~$30. It was super easy and took less than 20 minutes, but the headache of not having a fridge for a bit and trying to deal with customer service isn't worth the savings. Look at all the reviews on Lowe's site that aren't part of a promotion and you'll see I'm far from alone. Some had the fridge failing in months. If you want an ice maker, the factory option for this fridge sucks as well. It's an outdated twist design that works super slow and gets stuck.
Outstanding price. Most basic garage refrigerators are $600. This one includes 2 years of warranty, not the standard one year, plus ft includes free haul away (normally $50 charge)
I looked at this one recently at Lowes and they told me it is their most returned unit. It is also the most stripped down model on their showroom floor.
I ended up with the slightly larger LG version for another $100 which is also available from Costco. However my wife gave a hard-no on stainless steel, even for the garage (fingerprints). Only in stainless from Costco so I ended up buying it on the LG website. LG gets great marks from Consumer Reports for reliability. Frigidaire about average

I looked at this one on Monday, but at $900, I could not justify the difference from the 20.2 cubic foot LG for 50% more. Plus GE is right down there next to Frigidaire in reliability. If you are going to go to $900, maybe go to $1,200 and get a MUCH nicer refrigerator. Both Lowe's near me had awesome deals on floor models for $1,200. YMMV

Edit: just saw there's a $30 delivery fee, so meh for Lowes too. I'll probably go with this LG from Costco for $600: https://www.costco.com/lg-20-cu-f...39632.html
