Heads up for those with Samsung EPP/EDU access these are even cheaper there, plus you will get some points to use with Samsung Rewards.4TB: $332 vs $350 on Amazon2TB: $180 vs $1901TB: $157 vs $162
I just bought some pretty good looking counterfeits from eBay. Be sure to authenticate your hardware with Samsung Magician or some other method (i.e. referring to product sku #).
This is one of the fastest SSDs you can get today. However even if you have the motherboard to support it, for everyday tasks and gaming you may not notice any difference. This is mainly for people who do a lot of large file transfers, or those who just want the best money can buy.
I bought it, but a lot of folks (at least in the gaming world) feel that PCIe 4 SSDs are a much better value right now.
PCIe 5 SSDs do tend to run hot, so you'll want to make sure your case has great airflow (even with the included heatsink).
