Computers 4 People has its unlocked Shield 5G Home Hotspot for $175 (pre-order) plus $14.89/month for unlimited 5g home internet on the T-Mobile network. The home hotspot has an ethernet port to connect to a router and other home devices.

They also have a locked 4g Hotspot for $60, but probably not worth it given the same monthly cost.

Might be a good deal for those on a low-income (their original mission) or those in a strong T-mobile 5g area. Have no affiliation with these folks, just found this when searching for cheaper 5g home internet.

the honor system:If your household gets SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, free school lunch, or earns under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, you're likely eligible. Just check a box to confirm when you order. No documentation. No paperwork. No stress.

Is their service for low incomes only or anyone can use it legally?

Mobile Beacon wedged their way into the Sprint/Clearwire merger and got a settlement to sell this to low income people and community organizations. You either have to be below the poverty line, or a library/school/etc.

Unfortunately it is abused regularly, and the "honor system" has kinda taken over.

Eventually the settlement with T-Mobile will end (they won't say when) and Mobile Beacon is probably hoping to become an MVNO like Tracfone was after that.

T-Mobile is required by the feds to offer a certain number of low-income units to meet 2.5 GHz spectrum licenses. They're already ramping up self-ship efforts to replace Mobile Beacon in anticipation of the agreement ending.
