Adding to cart, the price magically lowers to 224.93. This is a really good travel pack, although the 45L volume claim is ambitious. It is more like a 35L if you ask me.
Two water bottle holders (external) that hold up a 32 oz Nalgene.

4 lb 8 oz. This is getting close to strapping my hard-side rolling back to my shoulders.

No. Same brand, different model. That was the everyday backpack.

I'd agree. I've taken the bag on medium-adventure trips to Thailand and Costa Rica carrying drones and lots of camera gear, and frequent business trips carrying a drone and 2 laptops + a tablet. PD went too far towards minimalism on the straps, making the bag uncomfortable to carry when loaded. I also find the size adjustments and ride awkward. It's not a trekking pack, but i did carry it on a serious 8 mile hike in Costa Rica and it was not really pleasant.
There's also a few fails in the design (no key hook or anchor link, really?!). I keep carrying it because it fits most my travel needs better than anything else I have, but I'm still searching for the perfect travel-adventure pack.

i find it amazing that they never updated the straps to be beefier. I use a goruck or osprey farpoint as my onebag

What is a "luigi" bag?

Is that a reference to that cultural-appropriation videya game company, Nitendo?

use this as my primary travel bag and the amount of utility this thing offers and how much it fits is great.
