FYI these were a "Top Pick" from ConsumerLab.com for their protein bar review

When on sale it's around $12 for 14 bars. With Amazon, it's $27 for 24 bars.

Directly from their site: "A CL member informed us that one of our Top Picks for dark chocolate was found to contain toxic phthalate compounds in tests by an independent group. See our take on these findings on our Dark Chocolate and Cocoa Review…"

Their reviews and detailed results are only accessible if you have a paid subscription, and they're hiding, or have a "take" on, toxins identified in one of their Top Picks?

I'm suddenly not impressed by anything being a "top pick" from them because they don't even let you see when they might've gotten something WRONG without paying for the privilege.

However, I bought these exact bars a couple years ago and they were good, but pretty sweet because they're made with dates. Health-wise, they're certainly a better choice than a candy bar for a pick me up snack.

The "natural flavors" are from oils & extracts

https://www.rxbar.com/en_US/real-...ducts.html

Possibly seed oils

People make big deal about natural flavors but it is really not a big deal.

Clearly if people "make a big deal"...it is a big deal to them. Perhaps not for you though....

$12.99 at Costco sale for 14. $24.54 at Amazon (at least this is what I'm getting) for 24. It's cheaper at Amazon right now if you do the per unit costs.

Ya I think so. I'm not seeing any multibuy discount.

If you're trying these for the first time, note they are incredibly hard to chew, and then stick to your teeth for a while. While I appreciate the ingredients, they're very low on my list of enjoyable sensory experiences.
