I hope these continue to drop in price by Black Friday but I read Nvidia will be decreasing supply so that it won't have to cut prices.

I got this computer a couple of months ago. I would like to clean up the look of the two prominent cable bundles at the motherboard power and the input to the 5090 - just for the parts of the cables that are visible. Has anybody done that? Is there a mesh casing that is easy to apply, i.e., just slip it over the plugs and then tighten it to fit snugly over the cables?

main thing I've run into with high powered GPUs and over clocked CPUs in those HP Omen cases is that they simply have not dispersed the heat appropriately. Not sure if HP addressed it since then, but I would double-check the return policy for Microcenter. Then I would play some challenging games on stock (not over clocked so as not to void warranty), but see if the heat is bad. edit: autocorrect won't spell over clocked correctly

No, that's why it's on sale.

Got this rig about two months ago. The system came loaded with a ton of malware right out of the box—stuff like Symantec antivirus nonsense. I had to do a clean install to wipe all that junk away.
It has two NVMe slots—one free, but the other is hidden behind the video card, which is a real pain to access because you have to deal with all those bracket screws. Underneath, there are two SATA ports for either a 3.5" drive or a 2.5" SSD, so you've got some good storage flexibility.

I've been using it mostly for AI workloads, and honestly, it handles the job well while giving me downtime to game. Temps are decent—not too hot. My previous setup was a 3090 paired with a Xeon, so this is a serious upgrade. Only downside: the RAM runs at a slightly slower clock speed of 5600 MHz.

Heads up—the HP Omen Hub app for controlling the lighting is a total mess. It didn't install smoothly at first and took multiple tries to get working. On the plus side, they used mostly standard parts, so if you want to swap the whole thing into a different case down the road, you can.

Final thought: I snagged mine as an open-box deal for $3300 and was stoked at that price. But honestly, I wouldn't pay the $3800 full price. Not worth that premium.
