Buy the Gaming Accelerator kit instead; two dollars more.

It is this, plus a receiver that's paired to it to create a 6g bridge. All you have to do it go into the setting and turn on "Broadcast AP" and you're done.

Do you know if the receiver also extends WiFi network? Maybe I'm not understanding what this is, is it to replace your main WiFi router or just bridge devices wirelessly using 6ghz back haul?

UPDATE: found an article that details the setting he was taking about.https://arris.my.salesforce-sites...work-Setup

Original:You've done this? All the reviews for the gaming kit, say it doesn't allow modification of settings. can the "Broadcast AP" name be changed? Does the receiver work afterwards too?

Could I use this to move my router into my living room? plug the modem into one and the router into the other?

Based on Amazon reviews the accelerator kit can act as a "6ghz only" access point for both other devices and the bridge. But, other reviews also say this overheats and subsequently slows down. May be better off waiting for tri band routers to get cheaper.

Yes to changing the SSID (our is still ARRIS from years ago, so we just made this ARRIS_6G), and the received still works, the interface pushes the setting out to all devices. Just keep both on when making the updates. Oh, and the receiver doesn't broadcast again the SSID again, just the main node broadcasts.

1 AP and 1 paired received. So the extra $2 gets you a 6G 'client' (basically) with a ethernet port. You can plug one item directly into it, add a switch and plug 5+ devices in, etc. I did the latter - it's allowing me to run a few wired devices (tv, ps5, ps3, etc.) in the only room we have which wasn't hard-wired for ethernet.

I bought one last work sale. No issues at all. It gets pretty great range on 6e. I got a Wi-Fi 7 tplink and the 6ghz band gets maybe half the range of this.
