same performance as 3090, 5% better than 4070s, and 16% better than 6800xt? I didn't know the market was that bad. Guess I'll stick with my 6800xt for a few more years

Interesting. First time seeing the 5080s available like this. The Super cards must be around the corner.

Not sure if this worked for anyone. The payment won't go through, and I tried multiple cards

If I rememeber there is a trick to get it to go through on the NVIDIA store. You need to first create an account and input your mailing address or something like that.

Worked for me. There was a line I had to wait in but that last maybe 2 mins. Didn't create an account or anything in advance.

Thanks for reminding me this. Just cancelled my order for 5080. Will hold onto my 4080s a bit longer.

Truly excellent design, engineering, manufacturing, and fit/finish on the FE series cards.
The 5070 FE does run a bit warm/loud at stock voltages, but it is VERY easy to undervolt them to where they use 100W less power than stock (250 -> 150W), yielding significantly lower temps & fan noise. Plenty of youtube videos on the subject, but they seem to do ~2850MHz @ 875mV pretty easily. Unfortunately, the minimum fan speed (when the fans are on) is 30% / ~1700 rpm which is noticeable in an otherwise very quiet case.

I've since gotten the 5080 FE, so I've been trying to sell the 5070 FE. 5080 FE gets similar (or better) results undervolting - I've got mine running 2805 MHz / 875 mV, which runs around 200W vs 360W stock. Less fan noise when fans on @ idle speed, too, which is nice. The fans barely ever kick up much above that idle speed, so my nice quiet PC stays nice & quiet even when gaming.

A couple of outlets reported that Nvidia will likely be cutting prices soon.

Finally, but a bit too late considering the upcoming Supers with more memory and possible price cuts.

Seems like wishful thinking, given that these have almost perpetually been out-of-stock since they launched.
Edit: Referring mostly to the 5080 / 5090 FE.
