Good news! These come with a USB-C cable and *edit*:40w charger so you can just give away the cube and still get a good deal

Oh ok. I'll ship it to you in that case.
Having the phone capped at 80 percent charge to not push that last 20 percent, which is what heats a device up, bad on the battery.
It saves wear and tear on the USB port, even if it is not efficient, it is convenient.
We have one in the house, my wife has the cell phone on all the time, and the phone hangs off one of these chargers. It is on a smart plug, so about every 24 hours we yell at Alexa to turn the charger on for say 3 hours.
In the car, we have one.
Again, to bump charge, it's convenient to have a phone magnetically attached to the dash.
Do you need it? No, is it convenient yes.
We can fast fully charge the phone or tablet in about an hour with the cord. On the QI charger, the phone takes about three hours plus.
I was like you but I'm have come around and like it, understanding it does waste power. But so do a lot of things.
