edit: YMMV. Safeway/Albertsons Seattle Division is participating in $10 discount. Unknown if other divisions are participating as it is not listed in weekly ad
Many Safeway/Albertsons banners have a J4U offer you can clip to get 10x points (12x on weekends) on $50+ purchases of Zift Zillions gift cards, which include Amazon. Safeway points are very valuable (around $1.67 off groceries per 100 points), meaning up to $10 in points per $50 bought. You will also get a $10 off $10+ barcode on your receipt valid at least 7 days from issuance. This means you earn about $20 in discounts for every $50 of Zift bought. No known limit for this offer, valid until 8-19 for stores with ads ending on Tuesdays.
Zift Zillions sometimes has redemption problems due to sensitive fraud detection. If you aren't able to use the Zift card, you can call the support line and they will mail you a check for the balance on the Zift Visa card.
Instructions to use $10 off: This barcode is coded as a generic item UPC instead of a true coupon voucher code (i.e. Kohls Cash), so scan this coupon as an item with the handheld scanner at the SCO. When you scan the barcode, you will see an Miscellaneous item with a value of (0.01) instead of a discount, but there is no need to ask for help if you see this.
If machine asks you to deposit a coupon, you should deposit the barcode into the slot because otherwise the discount will be removed. Some machines don't ask you to deposit anything. When you hit "Finish and Pay", the $10 will be deducted from your purchase.
Terms: Save $10 on your next shopping order when you buy $50 in participating gift cards (Participating cards include: Bath & Body Works@, Bloomin, Cinemark, Cracker Barrel, Domino's@, DoorDash, Home Depot, Instacart, Kohl's, Lowe's®, Regal Cinemas, PlayStation®, Subway@, Ulta Beauty, Zift Zillions of Gifts offer per transaction.).

1, The points are different depending on the grocery store brand. for Safeway, 100 points is $1 - unless you want a bakery item that is $2. 400 points can get you $7 off a meat / seafood purchase, so a $50 gift card purchase would be maybe $8 or $9 if you did both meet/seafood and bakery.
2, the $10 coupon is specific to one of the grocery store brands but unless it is stated as a deal on the member cards, it will not apply to the other grocery brands.
therefore, the only benefit is the points, which if you leverage to meet / seafood and bakery would approach $9. $8 if meat / seafood and the $1 credit. or just $5 as a straight discount. with some of these gift cards being 20% off on different sales, that presents an actual decision.
