Good deal. I have two of these. I've had this bag and used it for a month in Europe and recently in Asia. I prefer a backpack to keep both hands free compared to rolling luggage. It has heavy-duty zippers and plenty of padding. I use the four straps along with the expansion zipper to keep the bag compact and snug.

So this considered a backpack or carry on ?

For airlines that allow only carry on , can this be used as personal item plus the carry on ?

I use it as carry-on, this will not fit under the seat as a personal item.
