This deal reminds me of funny incidents in my home. My wife and kids used to come to me pretty often for help opening lids. Then I realized what will happen to them if I am not around. I didn't find them great for opening really stuck lids on their own, but they do help grip a bit, especially if you combine with running the lid under hot water, so it'd probably be useful for people with grip issues.
