Aren't those things tiny? What's the reason to not have it connected directly to the TV?
I have it hooked up a tv right now and would like to be able to bounce it to a tv in the next room when my kids are using that TV and I not have to move it.
Interesting. Are you going to get a switch for it? Because you will still be connecting/disconnecting the HDMI cables when you want to transmit to the other room TV, no?
This has an HDMI in/out loop for viewing on 2 screens.
Very interesting!
For gaming purposes I would usually shy away from wireless transmitters due to introduced lag, but your explanation otherwise makes sense.

Yes that's my main concern. This can do 4k/30. Since most retro games don't need that I'm wondering if it will work for that.

I have tried getting these smaller metal units, but I had issues with them, and did not work. They were not a lot less $ either.
As long as you can remain having your existing HDMI monitor connected, and this having a loop out, you can have both running, the local monitor off the PC, and the TV getting the signal from this device.
Reviews are good and I certainly would have appreciated this in our previous house! I used boosted HDMI cables, twin Cat5e, etc. At that time, wireless was not a good option.
If you didn't have/want a larger system, I could see this as an option for a pool camera, dog run, kids' rec room area, etc.
Love my SD family
