I know the reputation Honda has. I've owned a Honda Pilot for 12 years. But I have had horrible luck with their small engines, and I've owned several. I've had two generators fail very prematurely (and the warrantee service sucked; had to write the president of Honda North America to get my generator back from the dealer service department, and it failed shortly thereafter). Had a Honda lawnmower engine fail from a stuck valve that then broke off. I have dozens of small engines that I know how to take care of. Even Briggs has been better than Honda, and it hurts me to report that. My current favorite is Champion.
That's not the pump fault. If you would've used sprayed some pump protector it wouldn't have froze up.
Pro tip - Search all forums for "Pump gx200" and you'll be able to do it yourself.
Comparing historical prices is irrelevant because most people don't have a time machine, and the fact that the economy is constantly changing due to inflation, supply and demand, tariffs, etc...
I've been using pressure washers in a professional environment for over 25 years. What the other fellow says was entirely correct. The engine on the pressure washer is rarely the fail point, it's always the cheap Chinese pumps, And if you look at the unit above closely you will find not a single piece of documentation from Sam's Club nor the manufacturer on which pump that is. I guarantee there's a reason for that. Even the Simpson that was used as comparison at least as the courage to inform the buyer that it is a AAA pump. Garbage of course, but at least honest garbage. People should be looking for a CAT, AR, or General pump.

I'm not familiar with that brand. Maybe a regional thing?
