I just recently discovered the existance of these headlamps. Bought one, not this particular model though, and it's been great. I use it when I clean as it really helps see dust and dirt or if I'm working on small stuff, computers/electronics. My vision is not what it used to be and the bright light really helps see the details. Only problem I have is the elastic band tends to slide off my watermelon sized head. Too tight gives me a headache and too loose slips off faster. Haven't found the sweet spot yet.

They've got ones where the headstrap not only goes around your head but also one that goes on top of your head also. I find that those you can leave pretty loose and still have it not fall because of that second strap.

This is just an example, lol find a cheaper one obviously https://a.co/d/1mfHqJD

100 lum seems low or does the distance matter?

Yeah a lot of the headlamps I'm seeing posted these days don't have the top strap which I prefer due to stability. Thought it was a trend or something

I have this model. It doesn't have a hinge like better models do, so you can't aim it. The light always shines significantly above where you are looking.

Those look decent for about $1 less, but the bright red is a turn off.

Handy to keep these in your first aid kit. Just remember batteries eventually leak after extended storage.
