We have this and paid regular price. I think it's worth it. The hardest part is finding a bedskirt that fits, looks decent, and stays in place when the bed is being made. As much as having an open-bottom bed frame sounds like a good idea, using it for storage has been a game changer, and without a bedskirt you just look like a hoarder

Yeah, I noticed this too. Were you able to find a decent skirt? I've seen a few, but not great options.

No specific recommendations, but we tried about 4 from Amazon (all under $15) and found one that works. It's just guess and check.

Alternatively, it you can find really nice looking storage boxes for underneath, that would work well even if they're exposed.
