Wait, these are one time use? Seems pretty genius to sell these at race tracks or stadiums to people who want to be more comfortable on metal bench seats. Seems handy but the reusable inflatable seats that are made of more durable materials would be my preferred thing to keep in the car, but at this price point if you don't go to many events this 10-pack might last you a while and be able to give to friends or family and not care about getting them back.

And the design could be macguyvered into arm floaties if you have a way to strap them to your arm, so hey emergency flotation devices, keep a few in your bag when flying over water.

Just wanting to know if one cushion is enough for a 220 lbs body of mine without it being compressed all the way down

What a weird product. Why have a single use self-inflating seat cushion, vs a seat cushion you could inflate with your mouth in like 30 seconds and then deflate and use again?

These would be great for an emergency in a boat or plane, no? I've been considering going for a pilot's license; these would probably be a worthwhile investment, just in case.

I don't think it says self-inflating anywhere, and "self-inflatable" may not mean what you think it means.

I'd agree though that this is a terrible waste if it is really one-time use.

Ya know what's a free multi-use seat cushion with excellent r-value? Stack some of the Amazon bubble mailers into each other and enjoy. Not as small, but weight is next to nothing.

Yeah good point, I saw a review that said single use, but looking again I think he was exaggerating:

"Fair warning - these are single use/disposable! Seem like they will be okay for that purpose, but don't expect a high quality reusable seat pad. Think cheap pool float in terms of material."

So I guess expect a few uses if you're careful.
